w205 maps 2015
Hi guys i have the 2015 build w205 when the car is running you can't use the maps unless you use the voice command i know its for safety but i have a loaner car latest model and while the car is running you can navigate the maps and enter your destination manually. do i need maps software update?

then it's a good thing I have Garmin SD navagation. I can select my favorite destination while driving. (I haven't try to enter address manually while driving )

I have a 2015 build S205 with COMAND and there's no issue using the maps, unless you're talking about destination input via character input, which is arduous to do manually anyhow and I always prefer to use voice. You can do almost anything other than character input though while in motion.

poi is accessible via COMAND also as I've used it to find fuel and rest stops before now also shops, just no character input on the move which is more likely to take some concentration off the road.

You know, I've never used the car's SATNAV. Kind of forgot I had it until you just reminded me. I just use my phone. I did try to use it a couple times the day I took delivery but it was too much learning for my current span of attention. SIRI knows what's up!
