Remove Door Accent Trim - Yes, I Have My Door Panel Off
Want to add some sound deadening to the backside of the trim around the Burmester midranges. I pulled the door panel (took three minutes), but the trim itself seems to be held in by 10 of these clips that I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove. I'm guessing there's a special MB tool for them. I thought I saw how someone rigged up something to accomplish it, but can't find it now. Any advice is appreciated!

Yes....but not of that, unfortunately!
It's really not that tough: remove the door panel and sit down on a blanket or towel so you don't scratch the panel with the panel in your lap. Start at the end of the trim piece that would be closest toward you when installed. Get your fingers under the very end of the trim piece to get some pressure on the retaining clips. Use a small-ish flat bladed screwdriver to keep prying the retaining clip pieces away from the plastic "prongs" of the trim panel. First one side of the clip, then the other. Once the prongs are free, they won't re-engage on their own. Go one clip at a time, working your way across the trim piece. Once you figure out the first one, the entire thing takes five minutes to remove.

Decorative trim
Hi Folks, apologies, I’m torn. Are you saying I just need to pull the decorative trim towards me, when the door panel is laying on the ground? I do not need to unmount the clips of the back?
pics would have been nice 😀
i would like to remove the wooden trim, since it’s making noises over the LED stripe, when the mid speaker is really loud. I’d like to unmount, add some silencer in between the LED and the decorative trim and close it again.
All suggestions are welcome. I’m scared to pull it with a screwdriver, but I trust your recommendation. Just want to confirm.
PS: I'm riding a W213 E-Class, but the door trim seems to be the same more or less.
