Loud clanking / boeing noise ??????

2016 C300 5 weeks new..........

Driving to work yesterday and was startled by a loud noise on a smooth road. Happened another 2 or 3 times in the next few minutes. Once when I turned into a curb cut to enter the parking lot at work. It was obvious and startling, Could be heard over the radio. It was a combination of a BOEING and CLANK that seemed to be coming from the front (engine) section. Had a hectic day at work so I forget about it, when I left for home 10 hours later it happened again 3 or 4 times in the first 8 blocks of driving, the first of these times being when I left the parking lot from the curb cut. I used the service road to drive home at no more than 30 Miles. I did not here it again through the drive home. Within the last few minutes of my 20 minute drive home I tried to repeat the noise by going in and out of some curb cuts and going over some rough road spots however nothing, silence!

I'm bring it to the dealer this morning but it is very alarming to have heard these noises.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this ?

Thanks

2016 C300 4Matic traded in for a 2022 E450 Coupe
If it's Boeing noise, I would move further from the airport.

Maybe he ran over an engineer on the way to work...they can be pesky.

Op, are you in Renton, Everett or Seattle?

Do you mean bowing rather than Boeing?

He means "BOING!" I think. Like the sound Wile E Coyote's head makes when the Roadrunner hits him in the head with an anvil. Right?

Yeah, they do that after 100,000 or so miles.

Meanwhile Canadian climatologists and cosmologists posit http://unconfirmedsources.com/wp/pol...er-wind-storm/

I still think he may have run down a Boeing engineer, and while nasty, the stain can be removed with polishing compound.

There really is no way to do anything but guess at what the problem might be. That's not going to help you at all, and these sounds are certainly not normal. Taking your car to the dealer for service is the only option you have.
