How is your paint holding up?

Just curious how everyone's paint is holding up so far. I have a 2016 c450 and have had it for about 18mos now.

The paint is starting to chip on the edges of the door and the top of the hood near the windshield wipers. They're not area where road debris could hit. Anyone else noticing this?

18mos in and I don't mind the car. Not in love with it but it works for me. Lol

What color is your car? Mine is Lunar Blue. I thought has good paint.

I've just got my car for over a month, so things are holding well, and this is my first MB car.I do care about paint quality. My other car Acura TL is over 17 years old and the paint is peeled off real bad.

The paint isn't going to chip "just 'cause." Something is hitting your car in those spots.

That said I think the overall paint quality on these cars is pretty poor in terms of fit and finish. Better than an economy car but laughable compared to Lexus and maybe lower than even VW. Too much orange peel, uneven finish, and poor gloss from the factory.

Paint quality control is poor, I have at least a handful of dirt flecks in my paint from delivery. It's not worth having them addressed. Budget cars have better quality control than I've experienced from MB

it also chips easily as it's very hard paint. I've had to touch up the paint a fair bit from stone chips despite driving carefully.
