Cost of B service

I found a coupon for a "B" service on my dealer's website for $500. 2016 C300. That seems awfully high for the service as described in the maintenance manual.

I'm wondering what the service might cost without the coupon?

My dealership usually charges around 200$ to 250$ But usually they do nothing lol just an oil change.

It depends on your mileage ( I think ) it's what dictates how much your service B costs.

$200 to $250 sounds like the Service A cost.
Most people I've seen on here state that Service B is between $450-$620. Both services are way overpriced IMHO.

The costs for the parts in Service B are around $185 (Oil, oil filter, cabin & dust filters, and brake fluid), so the rest of the cost is basically labor and PROFIT.

If only the services performed are those outlined in the owners manual for Service B, then Service B is not dependent on mileage.

A gaggle of MB's
OK - let's use H88's post...

1. B Service as "here stae" betwn $420-$620 = average $535.

2. Avg $535 less - let's say 8% sales tax = $492

3. $492 less - most states $8 disposal/misc fee's = $484

4. $484 less - let's use H88's $185 parts = $300

Less - let's say $10 car-wash/vacuum
Less - if loaner let's say $30

I guess like $250 for check-in - shop time - check out - I guess big rip off...

Let's say

That's a good way to put it. $250 for something most shops would charge maybe $70-$100 in labor because you can do the cabin filters yourself in 5 minutes. You always see coupons for oil changes for $20 (and that includes oil!! So like $10 in labor). Brake fluid flushes seem to be $50-$100 which include the fluid... So maybe $50 labor?

To note: Sales tax is state dependent. Not every state charges sales tax on labor (I never thought they should), only on the parts.
