2016 C300 4matic Wheel Fitment Questions
First time Benz owner, long time car guy. Love the benz, wheels however are a little more difficult to find the right ones unless you want to spend big bucks or go with a square set up.
OEM set up is:
Front: 225/45/18 18x7.5 ET44
Rear: 245/40/18 18x8.5 ET49
Will this new setup perform well and not rub?
Front:245/40/18 18x8 ET 38
Rear: 265/35/18 18x9 ET 39
I've done all the wheel tire calculators and:
Front: .6" further out and .2" further in
Rear: .7" further out and the same clearance inner
Does the computer look for a certain ratio for tire revolutions between front and rear and will the above cause an issue? The OEM set up has a 7 revolutions per mile difference between front and rear and the new set up has a 12 revolutions per mile difference.
I will need to change the 315MHz sensors currently in the new set to 433MHz sensors for the 2016. So before doing this deal input on the fitment from experienced benz owners is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm at 45mm on all 4 corners, 8.5" front, 9.5" rear and that's pretty close to flush with no rubbing. Unless it's a 4Matic a minor difference between front and rear axles isn't an issue. Your fitment is a bit more aggressive but it should be fine.
I'd just transfer your TPMS over to the new wheels. They're integrated into the valve stems.

Integrated into the valve stems?! Had no clue, must research this - thanks!
Yes it seems aggressive to me too - mine is the 4 matic, preferred the RWD but none were available when I was shopping.
What tire size are you running with your set up?
Thanks again!

Currently the OEM staggered 18 tire sizes. Tires are stretched, but they were still new when I got the wheels and I didn't want to toss them.
On a 4Matic you'll want to keep the difference in rolling diameter between front and rear axles at 3% or less. Www.1010tire.com has a nice calculator for sizing tires.
