'Burmester' Speaker Replacement
Of course I mean the HK speakers.
Might I have some professional opinions.
Will these rainbow speakers for beamers fit on a W205?
fittings seemed identical.

I finally got the system tuned properly with my DSP.
Sounds fantastic now, no replaced speakers, just an added sub.
The sub is trunk mounted parallel to side of car to correct multiple phase anomalies.
Holy hell Batman...
It's fantastic.
Can't even think what adding a set of focal door speakers would add, but they are on my list for some future date where door panels need to be pulled anyway....

I had a Match PP62DSP in my golf some time ago and it was pretty amazing sound along with audison speakers. Very impressed with it. But the Helix is rather pricey compared to the Audison AP8.9 bit

Problem is I've already taken the car to MB for the speaker rattle. However they just did what MB HQ told them to do. Check the clips and door panel fittings. The rattle is now actually worse! So, I think I will take it back once more and if still not fixed then take matters into my own hands. Hushmat the ***** out of the doors!!

I will try to post screen shots of my setup, but it's based on Mike5215 original cross points and delays.
I added a JL 12w2 low profile sub and a JL 500 watt amp.
Sub is in the right side trunk, parallel to the right side of the car, firing inward....
Any other orientations or placement resulted in bass bloat, phase anomalies and terrible sound....

Either one of those options will fix things.

I'm thinking of getting the helix V eight. But if I still have to get the JL Fix 82 as well it will be quite expensive.

coming back to these Rainbow speakers, I've been told the straight line distance between the dead centre of the two screw holes closest to each other is approx 90mm, and then the dead centre of the remaining hole is approx 120mm for each of those other two holes.
does anyone know the hole distances on the W205 speaker brackets?

Another question, can you fit a 6.5" speaker in the W205 footwell speaker positions? Just wondering as it seems not many options for 6" speakers out there

So you are UK - right - Rainbow is one of the lines handled by Extreme in the UK - I "think" they have a couple of UK shops too - you can check their website.
You know that Amazon UK photos is showing 4-crossover's and I would "think" it just comes with two.
Other's might have input (a) if the 3-hole BMW "pattern" is same as MB and (b) if the tweeters might be the right fit - the back of the standard panel takes tweeter plus a "X" metal piece that locks the tweeter in..
On your "woofer" - here in the US - if not Euro model too - I "think" for at least model 16 forward the MB "woofer" is like perma-glued to the speaker frame.. it's a question of diameter and clearance - and chiseling the old woofer out .
Good luck - keep the beat !
