The 1st round of results where great, we wanted to see what the turbo would do on an otherwise stock setup, no downpipe, no exhaust, etc. We gained about 100ft lbs and in some parts 75HP, but the peak numbers were limited by the stock downpipe holding boost back and indirectly top end power. The customer needed his car back, but he is ordering a downpipe and we'll get it back to AMR to see if we can fill in the upper RPMs better. If there is anyone in the CT, NY, MA, area that has a C300 with a good flowing exhaust and wants the turbo upgrade. We are fully capable and ready to do so, we just won't have the full #s until we finish the test with the downpipe installed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hello All, here is the before and after on our first round of testing. Keep in mind this is a 100% stock 2015 C300 4Matic for the before and ONLY the turbo upgrade and tune after. As we mentioned in the previous post, the top end is suffering from the exhaust restriction. Imagine if you will that the HP stays on an upward trajectory and you can envision about where it will be once the restriction gone. Anyway, we have 2 test cars now on the list, so we should be able to show you our round 2 results shortly. Thanks for following!

That is massive. 20% increase just by tune and turbo. Once the restrictions in exhaust are eliminated and airbox is improved they power gains will be crazy. Good work guys.

its not horrible. almost 300 ft lbs at wheels. gotta support tuners. We need more development for our cars.

Agreed on the support to get more dev. Just not good bang for buck with the power cars are making just from tunes.

Agreed with this. We don't have C43 turbo upgrades and have cars producing over 600tq on just tunes. It's much better to spend time and money on R&D on a platform with actual potential.

God, you again... LOL. You must REALLLLY hate the C300 to spend this much of your time talking down to it.

I have no problems with AMR's results on the C300. I'm saying its a waste of time and money to work on a slug. There are probably so few C300's tuned, let alone looking for turbo upgrades. I know what turbo upgrades cost, whether your prices are released or not.

If someone would put their $$$ where their mouth is (not referring to you specifically, just any 3.0TT owner) and get us the turbos, we'd be more than happy to develop turbo upgrades for it. So far, no one has stepped up and the C300 guys, 2 of them have stepped up to test. So regardless of what the thoughts are on where the market is, the proof lies in who has stepped up to help us build it.

Come on now, we can have a bit of light ribbing at each other, but let's not get personal with things. We are open to developing anything in the new MB Turbo Motor line up. We do not discriminate and are working our way through the line up. The first ones to get the treatment are the first ones who give up their cars. It's our own way of testing the market. If there is a market worth pursuing, then there will be willing and able donors in that market. We've been doing this for YEAAAARRS and if we developed parts for every group that said we should we'd be out of business. I can recall a multi month, multi thousand $ development project we did because we were getting contacted almost daily about a kit. So we developed one. We're still working off our first production run inventory from 5 years ago. So everyone said they wanted it, we made it, brought it to market at the expected price and competitive to what other full conversion kits where and there were minimal sales. If everyone who contacted us demanding a kit, bought a kit, we could have retired. So unfortunately we don't develop solely based on forum chatter.

I am a rational thinker! LOL. We have a 2018 Kia Stinger 3.3TT, 2016 Lexus RC350, 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L in our stable as current projects, so while we are very open and willing to grab a C450 and do the development, the timeframe would not be swift due to our other projects in the works. So if there was a C450/C43 owner that can send us his turbos, we can work out all of the details and send them back. We would even do this FOR FREE, if the owner got us the turbos. We would want someone in the NY, CT, MA, NJ area so they could bring the car to AMR for the tuning side tho.

Just as an FYI to some people in posts above. I had a choice and freedom to buy either a C43 or C300. And...surprise surprise I went with the latter one because it just handles better. Granted, I swapped the entire suspension and tuned it to my taste (exactly what I'd do with a C43 too), but it was an easy decision because of the fact that the 2.0 is so much lighter than a 3.0TT. And that alone pretty much sold me. Much faster and better response, unspoiled handling, and just joy from turning the steering wheel without having a heavy pendulum before the front wheels... ahem Audi style.
Thank god the world is full of people who appreciate sophistication more than just brute force. That's why we have Lotus, Ariel, the MX-5, and 4C. Going fast in a straight line and racing between the lights ...it's fun for a few moments, I guess. But going around a canyon road is much more fun. And, no offense to anyone, I'd take a C300, 4C or even MX-5 any day over a C43 with it's heavy engine spoiling all the fun. It was my choice and who gives a crap if some don't agree with it?
On a side note, I came here here from the Jaguar, BMW, and Subaru forums. And all I've seen here so far is just a bunch of pointless yelling around by people who, for only them known reason, get offended about others' choices and decisions.
Like Jesse rightfully mentioned - you want something to happen - freaking do it or put your money into it. Otherwise it awfully seems like a gene pool pollution and a good example of why inbreeding is bad. #something
P.S. Sorry, @Turbokits. It was completely off topic, but at least it put you up top haha
