Collapsible Storage Crate

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I can't figure out how to get the collapsible storage crate housed in the trunk to stay open. It doesn't seem to lock at any of the collapsible parts of the crate.

What am I missing? How do I get the crate to stay in "crate form"?

If you pull on the sides in turn, they should pull away from the base allowing the ends to be tucked into the base to complete the box.
