US 2018 C-Class Sedans not available with(737 + 739)

I've noticed that with 2018 they started reducing the amount of "black ash grain wood" from all door trims and the center console to only the center console. Now, you can't even get that, you get the cheap, scratch-prone gloss black center console.
Such a shame because I think the open pore black ash wood trim was the nicest looking wood trim I've ever seen on a car. I hate the glossy lacquer wood types of trim that have a plastic appearance.
I wonder what's going on? They killed all the Ash trees in the world?

Wow, that sucks. I have had a few loaners over the last couple years, and that interior sucks in comparison to the black ash. I wouldn't accept it if I had ordered one with it. Would actually be a deal breaker for me.
the gloss black is pretty gross. Looks like utter **** the second light hits it.
I would not be happy with a 325 credit for getting trim I did not want. I also know they are short of supply of carbon fiber often too..
