Star Maintenance Prepaid Maintenance Plan. Who can give me a good deal?
I would like to buy the Star prepaid maintenance plan for 3 years/30k miles. My car hasn't been serviced yet, so I'm still eligible. Anyone know who can give me a good deal on it? Has anyone purchased it from a dealer and gotten a great deal on it?

It says unlimited claims, but my boss had an M5 a few years ago and they cancelled his warranty after the 9th tire in 2 years. Chicago....

You can buy Prepaid Maintenance at any time BEFORE service check-in - check with your dealer 1st on their price for that next service as a good benchmark for your upcoming costs.
If you have bought new - and planning to keep 30K miles that's a A-B-A service plan - and if planning to keep for 40K miles - then you might consider paying 10K/A service out-of-pocket - then buying 3yr/30K prepaid service (same cost) to cover 20-30-40 which is B-A-B (more bang for the buck).
The real "sweet spot" is someone with a MB with let's say 25K miles planning to keep past 50K - or someone who has 35K planning to keep past 60K - the max savings are found with these "mid-mileage" MB's.
Note - prepaid maintenance must be used within less that 12,500 miles or 14 months - whichever comes 1st or you lose that prepaid service for that interval.
There is NOT huge discount on MB Pre-Paid Service - however you need to avoid local dealer "mark-up" above MSRP.
Do NOT overbuy prepaid maintenance - unused pre-paid maintenance is normally not refundable - and normally not transferable to another MB.
Keep the beat !
