You're again not making an apples to apples comparison with that Jaguar offering. Thats a speciality tuned sports coupe that starts at $60k.
If you wanted to directly compare a Jaguar offering to the C300, you'd need to look into the XE. I would bet you would describe that as "asthmatic" as well.
The C300 is a luxury/sport crossover type sedan, and it fills that roll well. If you place performance expectations of the C300 on par with $60K performance coupe offerings, your expectations will not be met. Its pretty simple.
I would encourage the OP to take a spirited test drive and draw his own conclusions.

It would help if you'd stop imputing beliefs to me I don't hold.
Anyway, Jaguar is heavily discounted and the difference not great.
