16' C300 Sport P2 w/ night package
You're again not making an apples to apples comparison with that Jaguar offering. Thats a speciality tuned sports coupe that starts at $60k.

If you wanted to directly compare a Jaguar offering to the C300, you'd need to look into the XE. I would bet you would describe that as "asthmatic" as well.

The C300 is a luxury/sport crossover type sedan, and it fills that roll well. If you place performance expectations of the C300 on par with $60K performance coupe offerings, your expectations will not be met. Its pretty simple.

I would encourage the OP to take a spirited test drive and draw his own conclusions.

Substantively, the point is the standard has moved on yet Mercedes keeps that old turd.

It would help if you'd stop imputing beliefs to me I don't hold.

Anyway, Jaguar is heavily discounted and the difference not great.

Fair enough, let's try a direct comparison:

Obscenity, the refuge of children. Seriously.

You, in your blind anger, miss the point: Mercedes can and must do better.

Spend your dough as you wish.

Seriously.

Man, that is profound.

It should be cafe au lait.

Though your point is well taken, others have advanced while Mercedes stood still.

It changes nothing. Other manufacturers advanced and you will see, Mercedes will dump the wheezer.
