Ventilated Seats odor
I have a '15 C300 with the ventilated seats option which seems to be giving off a strong unwanted smell when they are on. They have been doing this since I have gotten the car and it is very unusual as I am a person that keeps the car very clean. Anyone else have ventilated seats and come across an odor when they're on? I have also used the ventilated seats while the air recirculation on to make sure it wasn't some smell coming from the outside.

I have a 15 C300 with ventilated seats as well, mine seats do not have any odor or unwanted smell coming out of them and I use them quite often.
Perhaps get them cleaned professionally or try to clean the leather yourself? I usually do it once every 6 months or so to keep them looking and smelling like new.
What type of leather do you have?

Hmm interesting. I have black leather in my car, not the MB-Tex. I have tried cleaning the seats with leather cleaner and conditioner myself but it has not made a difference. The seats themselves have no odor, it is only when I turn on the ventilated seats and it comes after a few minutes of use. If I put the ventilation on two bars the smell is much less noticeable but still there.

Do you get the odor when you use the heated seats?

Haha no, I absolutely cannot stand not having my keys in my pocket or the thought of a stranger driving my car (even if it is just a few feet). I do not think it is coming from the passenger air vents because after months of use I always notice it only when the ventilation is on.
