I would take the deal considering your putting nothing down and it's an 2018. But if I were in your shoes, I would shop around a little more and see if I can secure more options like a p2 or even p3 package on a 2017 since there is no major difference mechanically or facelift wise.

Thanks! I have been shopping around, but hard to find everything I want. They are slowly trickling in. The reason I must have a 2018 is Car Play.
Have you heard or seen people getting 15% plus off MSRP? I am branching out of state at this point to get the best deal. Many on other forums said it wasn't a great deal, seemed to high.

The apple car play is a must and when I got my car at the end of June 2017... that is the one thing I regretted not having. Also you are getting the new 9g transmission which will save you a little more gas and give you a little more pep (or so they say).
I agree with others. It's not the "best" deal possible. But considering your not putting a dollar down, it's the best possible price from the salesmans point of view.
I have seen people getting 15-20 % off current year 2017 models. No word on 2018s. I would try out of state options and shop shop shop around. Don't settle, think about it, and get what you want at the price you want. The dealer can do much better.

Great advice! Glad to hear the Car Play is necessary bc I think it's worth the hassle in finding one with that and then some.
I almost took the deal, too. Whew....Do you think its feasible to get the same car with payments of ~450/mo?

Do you have any insight on leasing from SoCal or anywhere and living in TX? Seems like people are getting great deals in Cali. Looking up information now to understand how that process works out of state.

Absolutely. The dealer can do better. ~450 per month is not out of the ballpark at all, with the options you have though drives that price right up.
For that car, it should be around 469 to max 500 a month here in NY.
I would call the all dealers that bang out c300s all day long. High volume selling. When you call ask how many they sell per month. Compare and contrast, some dealers aren't dealers, they are fakers pretending to make deals to put all that extra commission money in their pockets.
I shopped around one dealer in Smithtown NY where I live close to 5-10 miles away from my house. The guy quoted me 8k down at 640 per month for a P1 package c300 with colors and options I didn't want.
I walked out.
I went to another dealer in Southampton, NY and they had the car I wanted, colors i wanted, for the prices I wanted and was happy to pay for. It's merely the attitude of the dealer, they either make the deal or you walk out.

That's good insight on the volume sellers and the price! Last time I was in the market, it was for a 2014 E Class coupe in 2014. I think I got a pretty good deal then, but I want ones that seem hard to come by. Working SoCal and MD now. Any others you recommend? Should I tell them upfront I am out of state to make sure we get the taxes right or wait til pricing is more nailed down? I was thinking the latter.
Thanks for your advice!

I agree with your latter thought. Wait until pricing is more definitive before getting into it.
At the same time, contact everyone in close proximity to you in TX and take that salesmans quote and use it as a shining light in a dark tunnel. A salesman at any other dealer is either:
A: Going to take that price or Match it.
B: Drop the price even further.
The further you go down in price. The better the deal becomes, as you keep taking prices and quotes and all that good stuff, you just keep bouncing from dealer to dealer to dealer with each new quote until you get the lowest price possible and the price you want.

I have done that with dealers that have the options I want....both Austin and San Antonio said they are practically losing money on the deal. The guy in Austin told me to take this one! Dallas has one that is missing Keyless go- but has everything else.

I think you are getting ripped off. Acquisition fees are usually topped off at around $700-800, and should be negotiated down to around $300-500. License and tags seem to be very high, and $150-200 might be more reasonable. Ask if they do multiple security deposits (MSD). Each deposit (negotiated lease monthly payment rounded to the nearest $50) will bring down your MF (money factor=interest rate) by 0.00007. MB financial should be doing it and I gave $5000 and dropped my APR from 2.9% to 1.2%, saving me almost $3000 over the tern of the three year lease. Oh yeah, BTW, forgot to say when doing a MSD, you get it all back at the end of the lease. A great win-win situation if you have some cash laying around. Search the forun as there is a write up about this. Good luck.

Thank you for validating I could have done better! I was about to take the deal, then the car wasn't available and we had to start negotiating on another car. The Lord works in mysterious ways. This is my second time leasing and I thought I knew the drill, but I have learned and am learning so much.
Have you had any issues getting your MSDs back?
I initially searched the Houston area. Now I have branched out all over TX and the country. Funny how they told me we only have a few of the ones you want in the country or southern region.....sureeeeee.
Never thought I could lease out of state. I am not sure how that works and was looking in other forums for more info. Can you point me to a forum or post you may know of?

Still have another two years on the lease, but as others have recommended MSDs and I have not seen any complaints, I did it.
