Non Alabama built sedan in USA
I thought all of the C Class W205 sedans in the USA were built in Alabama?
I currently have a loaner, and it was built in South Africa.
It is a 2017 model with a build date of 10/2016. It only has 700 miles on it, so it must be a recent addition to the loaner fleet at the dealership.
Wonder if it was incorrectly loaded onto a ship in East London in South Africa? Or Alabama couldn't keep up with demand and some cars came from overseas?
Just thought it interesting, that's all

My 2016 C300 was built in South Africa also. My guess is that when the price of gasoline stays at a relatively low level in the USA, there is more demand for SUVs and they shift production in Alabama to make more SUVs than cars, as SUVs typically have a higher profit margin for the manufacturer.
