Hiya,
Has anyone else with a C-Class with the Command Online system using an iPhone via USB cable got patchy Spotify functionality.
If you skip too many songs it exits out of Spotify playback and starts playing your normal iPhone music back instead.
Has anyone else noticed this sort of erratic behaviour?
Thanks

You use Spotify on an iPhone running iOS 11.1.2 and have it hooked up via USB and playing via the media interface not Bluetooth?
mine is erratic playing over USB - if you skip too many songs it gets stuck and stops playing Spotify music and goes back to your stored music on the phone.

Yeah I've noticed its only when I try to skip a certain amount of songs within Spotify quickly like 3/4 plus.
If I space out the skipping to one per 10 seconds or so, it doesn't do it.
Maybe the software in UK cars is slightly different? Anyone else having a problem with latest iOS and what I presume is an MY17 Command based W205.

Yeah tested it again and its still doing it via USB - if you skip 2/3 songs in quick succession using the jog dial or the skip forward on the trackpad whilst its connected as a media interface device over USB it will crap out and exit spotify and start playing your natively stored music in the music app.
Also it doesn't seem to be able to pull in spotify playlists at all - when its playing the songs it just says the track 1,2,3 etc and nothing else.
Can anyone else who uses an iPhone and Spotify and has the Command system just load up a playlist and skip a few songs in quick succession and see if it exits out of the spotify playback?
Thanks

I have the same issue you are having. In fact, I couldn't even control volume some times when using Spotify, and so I switched to Apple Music. It works much better with the Audio 20 system. I do kind of miss spotify, but not being able to control the volume drove me mad.

My car was made half way through this year I think well no April of this year, wonder if there's a firmware update for the Command system that fixes these problems.
I've noticed iOS 11 has added a few problems into the mix as well with regards to USB audio - lets hope Apple fixes them by 11.2.

My solution was to switch to Apple Music. I don't like Apple Music much, but controlling it from the car is painless. I can see my current track list, choose which songs I want to play from the steering wheel, and search for songs pretty easily.
