Phone wireless charge

Hello,
has anyone thought of installing a smartphone wireless charging pad on w205? if yes what and how install it? Does Mercedes provide as optional?

I did some searching the other day but hadn't found anything bespoke for the w205. There should be a couple of usb ports in the center console, and drop-in trays exist for the console, so my idea was to combine a wireless charger with the drop-in tray to cobble together an integration. If you find anything interesting, I'm all ears!

Well... the USB ports in the center console are data/low-wattage... so you will have to dig/wire a but harder than that to connect to 12V hard wire - then step down to wireless voltage

e-class has it in centre console, so maybe try to use it in our cars too, but I did not find any part number of that

Looks like the one on the eclass is useless! at least for iPhone users , some guy wrote an article for the verge,some sort of Apple Pay nfc conflict.

I did not know this. I was assuming they were standard usb (i.e., not fast charge).

I actually just finished installing my DIY one. Bought a $50 quick charging wireless charger, surrounded it with a foam block, and then placed a thick piece of plastic on top. I just slide my iPhone into the cubby and it charges

did you see any contraindications in doing a job similar to yours but in the cupholder area?
I could use the non-slip rubber of the glove as a base

Does anyone know if I install the 2018 wireless charger for the w205 in my 2016 model will it work? I have the part numbers etc for the wireless charge, was wondering if it would work then would buy it

This is the part number for 2019 wireless charger. A2056801204

I bought a wireless charger with fits the same place as this from china. It was expensive but it works perfectly and doesn't blow the fuse or anything like that, I have been using it for the past month now and its been working fine.

and then I put this ultra thin wireless charger on it, and plugged the USB into the center console. It doesnt charge super fast, but it does charge, so its worked out for me.
