Question Speed Cushion and Underside of C Class

Hi Guys,

Went over a "speed cushion" and something scraped underneath the car. When I bent down I noticed that the lowest part of the car is actually somewhere closer to the middle than the front and the whole thing seems to be covered in plastic. Does anyone know what i was likely to have scraped/what is the actual lowest part under the car - on a C250d AMG Line with no 4matic system?

As it was just a scraping sound probably not worth getting it checked out right?

Picture of speed cushion:

Thanks!!

No one?

Does anyone have a picture of the underside of the car flat on so I can figure out what might have caught the speed bump?

if it’s not leaking or making weird noises forget about it, worry about Brexit and slow down before driving over speed bumps.

Yeah I'd given up, didn't seem like there was any damage so had moved past it.

Was going pretty slow, we just have the odd dodgy one that was built out of regulation and scrapes, nevermind!

Just saw this and was wondering what a speed cushion was... Yeah slow down for the speed bumps.only buses are supposed to take those at speed. In the GLA, that speed is about 10mph if that.

We have "speed cushions" in our community and I always slow down in my 300 when going over them (the recommended speed is 15mph). They are just wide enough to slow down the average car but narrow enough to let emergency vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances etc) pass over them at speed. I have "bottomed out" on "speed bumps" at our local Costco in the 300 when just creeping over them. The 300 has pretty low ground clearance but not as bad as a Lamborghini
