just taken C250d in for its first service (9500 miles) Both rear tyres found to be illegal. (both worn exactly the same in the centre, indicating over inflation. These cars are fitted with extremely sensitive sensors. MB saying this is not a warranty issue because everything is ok on it, (including the tyre pressures). something is wrong... any ideas?

Unfortunately, around 10k miles doesn't seem to be unusual for the 205s, particularly for the diesels. What tyres were fitted to your car? It might be worth trying a tyre with a higher Treadwear rating.
