Front Windshield - Stress Crack
It recently snowed here in the east coast and as I was defrosting my front windshield I got a stress crack that goes from the left side of the car all the way to the right side. Has anyone replaced a front windshield with a stress crack through warranty? Just wondering if any one can chime in on the details and the process. Planning on stopping by the dealership this week. Thanks in advance!

The defect you describe will require a windscreen replacement.
Glass, for the most part, not covered by the vehicle warranty, however, depending on your insurance coverage, and where you live, comprehensive may cover the replacement.
Windscreen replacement is a peculiar task not often done by the dealer's technicians, therefore, they usually outsource it to a shop specializing in glass replacement. Task may be accomplished either at the dealer or the glass shop.
I would insist on an M-B sourced replacement.
