Comand Screen Rattling - How to fix?
Hello all. The screen on my 2014 C220 is rattling and it’s beginning to drive me insane! It’s the top right hand corner of the screen that’s rattling, the chrome trim bezel as far as I can tell. When it rattles I can make it stop by simply pressing my finger against the corner of the chrome part, it just comes back eventually however. The chrome trim feels loose in this part of the screen and has quite a bit of play to it.
I took the screen out of the car a few days ago and took it into the house. I couldn’t however work out how to prize the rear housing of the screen off? I tried to use a thin spudger but it felt really difficult to prize the back off so I gave up.
any suggestions?

Is the car still covered under warranty? I had an issue with mine coming from the silver trim as well, which basically went away when pressed on. I took it and they took out the silver trim and put felt tape and that seems to have resolved the issue...for now.

Not to dig up a dead thread... but our 2018 sedan has been at the dealership for three weeks as of today while we wait for the "trim cover" to arrive. Thankfully they put us in a loaner (GLB
