Radiator Fan Drains Battery

A year ago, my 2011 C350's radiator fan ran at high/full speed until the car battery went dead. The fan would turn on at some random amount of time after I locked the car and went inside for the night. When I returned to the car, it drained. Brought it to a local mechanic who couldn't find an issue. Luckily, the issue went away. Now a year later, the issue has returned. Fan runs, battery drains, I jump the car, keep my ears open for the fan, nothing heard. Come back later, fan is running at FULL speed, and battery dies. Not sure if its related or not, but I also have a Auto Lamp Function Inoperative on the dash.

2010 C300 4matic
Hey Rob. I am having the EXACT same problem in my 2010 C300. It started right after lots of snow fall and freezing temps for about a week with no driving activity. Driving me nuts. I have posted in the W204 forum but have not gotten a response yet. If I do, I will send it over to you. Did anyone else ever take a look at it and see what it might be?
