No spare tire in 2016 c300 Sports package?
I understand there is no spare tire in my 2016 c300 with sports package purchased in Canada. If I buy a spare tire as an insurance so that I can drive longer than 80Km, is there space in the trunk to store it? Secondly, do most tire shops fix these extended mobility flat tires or you have to go to MB only?
Does MB provide emergency service if you are out of town?

I'm 2 weeks in to owning and driving a new 2018 C-class. The extended mobility tire is just fine for 90% of my driving time. On long out of town rides I want the convenience of not having to hunt for a tire store having the correct brand and tire size when I'm in an unfamiliar location. The spare will only be put in the trunk for those trips. I'm considering 3 options and I will probably go with the first one.
1) purchase a cheap after market aluminum wheel from Tire Rack for $100 + cheap tire for $70. This is a full size wheel + tire which will allow me to complete the trip
2) purchase an OEM re-manufactured wheel for about $240 + cheap tire from Tire Rack for $70
3) purchase a Mercedes temporary compact spare for $300. However, the temporary spare is only good for 50 miles which isn't any better than the extended mobility tire.
Although the extended mobility tire can be patched it comes down to being a safety issue. Making use of the tire sidewall to support the vehicle starts to degrade its capabilities the more miles you use it with a maximum life of only 50 miles. So, regrettable, it is a throw away item.
