Touch pad and audio system not working
Hi guys, I just bought an used 2015 c300 (w205) a month ago and there are no issues until today. I was listening to the radio and all of the sudden the audio system stopped working. I tried music from my SD card, from my phone and there are no sound at all.. I supspect it was the speakers (mine is the Busmester speaker) but the seat belt sound and sensor sound is still there so the speaker should be working fine. At the same time I notice that the touch pad also stopped working (it was fine before so they seemed so happen at the same moment). I brought it to a dealership but they tell be it might or might not fall under warranty (still valid for another 11 months). Anyone has experience this before? What could be the underlying problem? Thank you!

From the info you provided, I don’t see why the factory warranty wouldn’t cover it.

This may not help, but it's worth a try. You can do a system reset by holding in the CD eject button for about ten seconds. If that works, great. If not, it's a dealer visit.

Thank guys I booked an appointment with them in 2 weeks. The issue is the car had an accident in the past so it went through a bodyshop. Mercedes told me that if there is a wire that was not reinstalled correctly and caused the problem then they will charge me to fix the problem. Hopefully it is software related. I will try the CD method later to see if it work.
