2016 c300 ticking noise?
Hey guys,
last week I purchased a CPO 2016 c300 with only 3500 miles and noticed a few days ago that there's a light-moderate ticking noise under the hood. I've read about the wrist pin issue but everywhere is saying that it's only on the 2015 models. It's not super loud (I can't hear it if the windows are closed), but it is enough to make me curious as to what is going on. I'm still well under warranty, any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
J

The light ticking is normal. It is the direct injection system on your car. Wrist pin problem was only on early model 2015.

Hi quick question. I plan on buying a 2009 Mercedes C300. It is off a private dealer, has only 36k miles and is very clean. He sent multiple videos including one of him driving the car. When he took a video of the engine bay i heard a slight ticking noise that you guys described. The car is somewhat of a drive from where i live (200 miles) and i'd like to figure this out before i end up driving there and end up getting disappointed. Any help would be great!

All direct injection engines, does not matter the brand, tick. What you are hearing are the lifters and normally go down in sound as the engine warms up.
