I’ll take some pics tomorrow, but I wouldn’t go wiser than 235 on a 8.5. You really want the rim flush and either have a square tire or a little bit of flush. I need a wider spaced upfront which I have been waiting until the suspension settles all the way to order. I also could use a 3-5mm spacer in the back.

I live in Dilworth! Happy to get up any day. Just got the car back from the wrist pin repair and burmeister vibration fix. Installing my charge pipe tomorrow but so far the car is running great.

It's not that simple. I would run a 235 but I'd still run the spacer. You need to make additional clearance for the calipers and inner suspension and changing tire size only marginally impacts that and on either side, ultimately only resulting in a few mm's that it changes the look and fitment.

Hmm okay thanks a lot for the input guys. I’ll probably end up going with the 235 with the 12mm spacer then!

The car looks great man!
Just out of curiosity, did you feel any significant difference with installing the FTP charge pipe? I am considering going that route.

Here are some shots with no spacers for posterity sake. I do get inner rub on the front over weird downhill bumps, but have 15mm and 20mm spacers on the way.

I just put it on this morning and what I will say is, it's hard to tell. I put this on because I plan to upgrade the turbo as well and wanted to make sure I didn't have any issues running a bit higher boost and needed a port for the methanol. No real sound change but in my mind the car is slightly (at best) more responsive under throttle.

I agree, the butt dyno is not always clear. There are many factors that we need to take in to consider an improvement vs the stock part. I am willing to bet that the water/meth kit will make all of the difference. for $200 it's well worth the charge pipe. I'm considering in getting one.

As for the turbo upgrade, I am also thinking about going that route. Are you waiting for turbokits to come out with their own kit, or do you have another kit in mind? It seems like their kit will flow 30% more than the stock option; however, the vehicle they tested the kit out on did not have the weistec down pipe or tune (I could be wrong). Realistically speaking we can expect higher yields as our vehicles exhaust gasses flow much better.

I have been talking with turbokits.com. This isn't going to be a 400HP car, I would have bought the c400 if that was the plan. Their kits seem to be reasonably safe and decent power for a good price. I am hoping this kit comes out close to the price point of the CLA kit they did. If so, I will quite literally ****** one up the day they go on sale. At least one of their test cars has been fitted with a Weistec downpipe, but not at the time of their last results post. I would be totally happy with a 300 WHP car running low 5 to high 4sec 0-60. The methanol will come at the end of this project if necessary but I already have the kit. If it doesn't make its way onto this car it will on our blown 2017 Corvette (currently pushing 734whp). As of right now, I believe I have every "bolt-on" currently available for the c300 w205 Platform. Just waiting on the Turbo

Gotcha, the daily needs to be reliable. I've got to admire your ambition to push this car to its limits though. I am the same way. What exact AEM kit did you go with? Im planning on sourcing a water reservoir from a junk yard to use with the meth kit, but I also want to find a kit that is somewhat of a straight shoot install. Are you planning on dynoing the car soon?

I went with AEM's V2 Kit..Part # 30-3300. Everything you need. I will eventually Dyno the car but not until I get the turbo worked out. I will have a custom tune built around the car as it is. It isn't that much more than any of these OE, or BMS kits and is cheaper than the Brabus ECU but built around my specific car and the way it is configured. I even offered turbo kits.com to drive the car up to CT to have them install and AMR to tune the car...that offer was declined.

Do you happen to have the part number for the grille?

I did not tint the tail lights, I have never really been a fan on my cars anyway. Did tint the distronic emblem and I am on the fence...

My apologies but I don't. I just asked the parts manager for "that grille" and pointed at a c63 lol

Wow that looks really good drew, glad how it came out! What are your thoughts of leaving the distronic untinted but the circle around the star is still black? I’ve seen them on all black cars they look clean

I'm not sold on the distronic emblem being tinted, but I figure I would give it a few days and see how it sits with me. My initial thought was to pull it off.
