C350i: replacing brake pads and rotors at 9000 miles

Brakes squeaked at 5000 miles. Now rotors and pads have to be replaced 9000 miles. Is this normal? Cost quoted to be $2500 at dealership. Mercedes to pay 30%, dealer to pay 30%. What is going on?

$2500?? for some W205 brakes? Are you talking about the entire set front and rear or just one axle? Still though a C-class should never cost that much unless your car came with a carbon brake setup.

And yes, that is absurdly fast to have to replace them. Are you replacing them for noise again or because of wear?

A gaggle of MB's
It's a Hybrid Model - C350i - most likely Euro - and in the hybrids the brake system is linked to regeneration - so there is a bit more going on here that has been explained - more complex than a rotor/pad issue.
