Navi, radio, media, telephone not working
Just bought a 2015 c300 4matic a month ago. My navi, radio, media, and telephone will not boot up on my screen. It just keeps saying “Please Wait...”. If i turn off the screen and turn it back on my radio will play only one station and wont let me switch to other stations. Top right corner says “No Service”. Any idea on what is going on or how to correct this problem?

I have a 2015 C300 4Matic and took it to the dealer today with a similar problem. The head unit is totally unusable. Soft resets did not work. The radio would show "Device Not Available", and nothing else was working either (Nav, Tel, etc.). After about an hour the guy came in and told me somewhat sheepishly that there is nothing they can do. As in--nothing. They can't try a hard reboot because that tends to lead to the system going into anti-theft mode and locking up. They can't replace it because supposedly that causes some other problems so MBUSA isn't letting them order replacements. MBUSA is aware of the issue, which seems to affect 2015-16 models, but they are at a loss as to how to fix it. This is a major malfunction and apparently more of an epidemic than they first thought. My next step is to contact MBUSA directly to see if they can provide some other kind of solution, since living without a head unit indefinitely is neither a viable nor fair result.

This is happening to me as well. 2015 C300. This could be a Y2K like bug. See the following article: https://www.theguardian.com/technolo...he-new-y2k-bug

Gents if your cars are still under warranty, call MB Customer Care. In fact, even if it wasn’t under warranty I’d still make that call. Please keep us posted on the resolution.

This is incredible. And this is at a time when most warrantys are about to expire or just have recently expired. I can't imagine the radio / infotainment stop working, and nothing can be done at all. And it looks like so many people are affected. I can accept the "there's nothing we can do" on minor things, but for something like this, I would be / and I am, furious.

I spoke with MBUSA after my earlier post, and they told me that this afternoon (03-19-18) they were informed internally about this becoming a major issue. In my case the AUDIO20 was working on Friday morning and malfunctioning by Friday afternoon, so I wonder if there are a bunch of owners calling in with similar experiences from this weekend. My understanding is someone locally had this problem last month and MBUSA ended up doing a trade assist so he could get back on the road. The dealer still has his unfixed car to act as the test subject when a fix is released. The bigger issue, of course, is that it's not exactly a minor inconvenience. I just hope they do the right thing by everyone affected...

Uhm...wow. It’s an interesting journey for all of us with a 2015 C300. I’ve had mine for 5 months. Just got it back from the dealership from them replacing my front door glass with acoustic glass. Rather not think about having to bring it in..again.

Seems to be another thread going on the same topic, with a theory as to cause: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...2015-c300.html

In the meantime, you can open the trunk, pull the plug on the Sat radio module, unpin the fiber optics and put them face to face with a piece of vacuum hose. This will take the Sat module out of the loop and allow your radio to act normal. Sirius sent out a bad update.

MBWorld Fanatic!
For 2015 C's - with Audio 20 - YES - there seems to be a plague that hit due to a OTA (Over-The-Air) update - not identifed/confirmed if it was a Sirius or was a MB OTA update that was the cause of the problem.
Up to this issue - dealer repair protocol was to update the Audio 20 software using Xentry in the shop.
However - starting with this issue - if dealer connects the Audio 20 to Xentry - then instead of updating the programming - the Xentry process corrupts the Audio 20 software causing a "hard lock" - and at this moment the only repair for the Audio 20 "hard lock" is a replacement Audio 20 - as has been pointed out - Audio 20's are on back order - and since fresh Audio 20's require Xentry programming - I do know if anyone has successfully programmed a "fresh" Audio 20 with Xentry since this new problem happened.
It's a real mess - I printed out the Sirius/loop-pull - for my guys to test with a unit we have here that has not been "hard locked" by Xentry - once hard locked - removing Sirius won't help.
Keep the beat !

I spoke to customer care on my way home tonight. They said at 8PM they received an update from the tech team that a fix had been made and it will be rolled out to all the cars by Thursday afternoon. No need to take it into the dealership as it will be sent directly to the car. We'll see..

Everytime I start my car it opens to the radio and only plays one station. If i try to switch it to the media source i want it will automatically switch back to the radio. The navigation doesn’t load either if I try to click on that. I’ve done 100 soft resets of the screen, replaced the battery, taken out the head unit fuse and nothing is fixing the issue. Any advice from anyone?

When i started the car this morning the entire centre console with my C350e 2016 continues to reboot which includes Navi, Radio, Bluetooth, Passenger Airbag light, driver selecting modes, this happens every 30-40 secs, while the reboot happens lose the rear vision camera if reversing. This happens while driving stationary or even when the just radio on when the vehicle is ignition is off. Has anyone else experienced this and could it be software glitch. keen to hear if others experience.
