C300 Clicking Noise when motor is off

2009 Mercedes C300
PLEASE HELP....C300 Clicking Noise when motor is off
Im new to the site so please let me know if I’m doing something wrong. I just came back from out of the country for 2 weeks, jumped in my 2009 C300, started right up, let it run for a while, took off up the road and about a mile out car shuts off. Pulled off to the side of the road and car won’t start, not even a click when key is turned, tried to jump it, nothing (although lights work and it seems to have power)!! Towed it home about an hour later car starts right up and has been running fine since. Now I’m sitting here next to my car and it’s clicking every 2-3 seconds, seems like it’s coming from the Mass Air Flow Sensor when I take off the engine covers. It’s been doing this all day. I reset the battery leads, still happening! Any insight!! Thanks!!

I have the same problem with my MB C300 2009. Did you ever find the problem and what part you needed?
