Key Battery Replacement Question.

I'm trying to replace the battery on my key.
When I first opened the cover battery was in there snug and tight (took some effort to get it out)
but my new battery won't go in completely but its kind of laying at a angle... (putting in with some pressure doen't help)
if I just put the back cover in would it sit itself overtime?

Are you sure you got the correct battery? If yes, you need to fit it in properly. If no, you need to get the correct battery and fit it in properly.

Yes !

I got the Panasonic CR 2025 that came with the fob.
After many trials to properly “sit” the battery
(the attached pic is how my battery is sitting)
I ran out of patience and closed the back cover anyways and the key works.... So I guess you don’t have to completely sit the battery?

I recently replaced my battery and it also sat at an angle but worked fine. So why worry?

From your pic, it looks like the top part of the battery is recessed. Mine is recessed about 2 mm at the top and the cover fits nicely.
See my attached pic below.

I know it looks like very difficult to remove the battery in the first place... but actually very easy - you just tap it out. Here is a short video clip on how to do it:
