Heated Seats Quite Weak in C400
Are you guys happy with the heated seats in your W205’s? I find them quite slow to heat up and then the heat isn’t that well distributed through the seat. This is compared to my previous car which was a BMW 4 Series. I’m tempted to have the dealer check them next time I have to bring it in but I suspect this is just how they are.

I would agree they don’t get as hot (as quick) as I’d like in the dead of winter, and actually I feel the same way about the heater on Auto mode. Not horrible, but could be a touch better.

Mine are warm in like 20 seconds and get hot when all 3 red lights are on. I did notice in the loaner I had with plastic leather it took a little while when cold but it got pretty warm. The fake leather makes my back feel sweaty though.

I’m going to try the passenger seat see if it’s any better, maybe I do have a fault...ventilated seats are very weak too. I sat in a friend’s Kia Stinger the other day much stronger ventilated seats.

That's the way they all are - not when it comes the cars!

I agree with Darrington that the heater on Auto mode is weak. Even in merely chilly weather, I will turn the heater to manual (front vents and floor vents) as soon as heat starts to show in the engine temperature gauge. Then I boost the fan to “6.” When the engine and the car are warmed, I turn the heat back to Auto

Mine work pretty well. They don't heat up as fast but once they are heated I end up turning them down a click. That being said my sister's CLA's seat heats up much quicker and hotter.

There's a Mozart opera entitled Così fan tutte (That's the way they all are). Mozart is not writing about car seats; I am not writing about women. However, if you take good care of them, both will get hot when you want them to. I can't tell you how to take care of your women, but I can tell you to take your car into your dealer. Even a MY 2015 is still on warranty. My 2015 MY C300 was delivered in 02/15, in the middle of Boston's snowiest winter ever. It was plenty cold too. By the time my driver seat got warm, I had often reached my local destination. The passenger seat was okay. The dealer fixed the driver seat on warranty. Now, as soon as I feel heat in the seat, I turn it off, even in really cold weather. Even the lowest setting is too high.
