how to move front headrest?

how to move front headrest?
So i got the driver and passenger front headrest not adjusting at all. I've tried the button on the side and it feels like it is jammed up? Or is there something broken?

My passenger seat does not have the automatic head rest adjust button on the passenger door but the circular button on the side of the headrest does allow for it to adjust manually.
My driver side headrest adjusts up and down with the automatic button on the door but the circular button on the side of the headrest does nothing.
Ive been told by two different dealers that this is correct and the circular button is fake and does not allow for manual adjustment on the driver side. I’ve always found this to be odd.
