My W205 "Project"

Hello from Dallas. I'm new to the forum, and I have a 2016 C300, that I plan on making into a project of sorts. I want it to look more aggressive, and closely resemble it's twin turbo V8 brother and gain some HP as well.

So far I've added the following:

Diamond Grille
Carbon Spoiler
AMG style pedal covers
Door project lights (logo)

Window Tint

Future:
Wheels and Tires (looking to go staggered 19" in a black finish) . (Anyone purchased the AMG look a likes from Ebay?)
Coilovers (maybe depends on the tires)
Dinan tune (Or other plug and play tune)
Upgrade Turbo (depending on turbokits results)
Add Car Play
Red Calipers

It's always going to be a work in progress unless I just eventually go ahead and buy a C63.

Ideas and recommendations are well.

Dude great progress so far!

Gotta add those LED lights to the list though. I think it makes the car look so badass (especially at night)

Also, Car Play. How are you planning on doing that? I'm really curious cause I'd like to do the same!

Looking great! The Diamond grille makes a big difference.

I had my chrome trim on windows wrapped as that matches the C43/C63 you might want to consider that.

Which LED lights are you referring to? I've been doing some research on the car play and I'll let you know more once I figure it out.

Yeah definitely let me know what options you find! Curious to know.

Also, here's what i'm referring to. Someone changed the stock halogen headlights for the LED DRL

That's a ton of work it seems like. Looks like I'll be staying with the halogens unless I can find a shop to do them. Electrical work isn't my strength at all.

If you don't mind my asking - where did you buy the grille from and did you use any guide to help with your swap?

I'm picking up a new 2018 on Tuesday if they can get the transfer done without problems and this is one thing I really want to do to it. Thanks!

I ordered the grill from amazon, and i read the official how to on here but it was more confusing than anything. Then another guy posted with better instructions and I brosed it but it wasn't all that complicated for me. Like I didn't take the underpan off or anything like that. It was really straightforward to me.

this one is the more helpful of the two

Two things: looks like the left edge of your rear spoiler is lifting (I was wearing my glasses when I saw that) and a Skins fan in DFW? You're brave...

Starting over

Well I’m starting over. The 2016 is no more. Got a 2015 sport instead this time. Will be updating the rims and tires to 19” soon. black grill this time and wrapping the chrome trim. Can’t wait to get started.

So far the only thing I've done is the window tint. Waiting for some stuff to come in and researching other mods. I will be doing coilovers too, if anyone has a recommendation let me know. I'll be adding a new spoiler as well, had issues with the original carbon fiber one fitting properly. That left edge always seemed to want to lift.

If you want my old grill let me know. Nothing wrong it. Was on the car for about a month. I'm just deleting all of the chrome this time so I'm going with a different look.

Funny coincidence, I actually just got home from getting my diamond grille put on. Had a shop do it because I don't have the tools or knowhow, but I had the thing sitting in my garage for like a month.

Hopefully you can find someone else to buy it off of you, though!

Wait, MrJayC. Why did you go from 2016 to 2015?

Curious on that move.

It was a combination of things honestly. I wanted the LED headlights and I wanted the sport package. The sport package was essential of the mods that I want to do. And through some luck, I was able to get it done, and add more options without increasing my cost. One day I can explain fully but for now there's a Non Disclosure agreement that prevents me from divulging the full details. I"m happy with the outcome though.
