Interior Sound test
So I am curious what everyone else’s cabin sound level is. I know there is a tsb for wind noise for my 2015 which led to installing acoustic glass in the front driver/passenger areas. However, although it finally sounds like everything is sealing, have to say the cabin still sounds louder than it should. Least in comparison to the 2018 C300 Sport I drove, I have a 2015 C300 luxury model.
Will a couple people download the free app decibel X and report your cabin noise db’s? I’m curious to see what others are experiencing.

Add some more specifics to the test or the results will be useless. It sounds like nitpicking but we need to hold the phone in the same orientation in a similar position inside the car etc.
I have a 2015 Luxury as well and will post up results after driving around for a few days once we have some details about phone placement.

Tried it today but it’s pouring up here. So with rain, wipers, 18 inch AMG runflats, and 50mph i registered 78-80db. I held my iPhone upside down just above track wheel. I won’t make it on the highway for higher speeds till the wknd most likely. Will report back then.

Positioning
for simplicity,
phone in in the cup holder region with speaker/mic facing up is what I’ve done. Tires are 17in Pirelli run flats. But think they’ll minimally impact the test. None of this is to be taken super serious, just interested in others lvls.
50-60mph - 78-83Db so far for me. Still haven’t done Interstate yet but speed range will be 75-80 mph.

I hate the loaners, The loaners are a lot less stiff than mine. I’m kinda glad I got the sport and 4matic. Hated the rwd model, I drive too erratic and the tires would slip, 4matic sticks to the ground. As far as sound it’s the same but I hear and feel the potholes a little more in mine.
