Yes, I’m looking to add a bit of stretch on my tires 🤦🏻*♂️
Question is...this is the setup that I’ve come up with.
Current: 235/40/19 on 19x8.5” front
265/35/19 on 19x9.5” rear
in question: 225/35/19 on 19x8.5” front
235/40/19 on 19x9.5” rear
before you start, yes I know the diameter of the front wheel/tire is 4.5% off stock. Yes I know the implications on tire wear, but damnit I will get flush fitment!
Mostly joking but in all seriousness, does anyone with more expertise than me see any reason why this might not be a good idea???

those 225 35 19s are gona be pretty damn thin... I personally won't go thinner than 225 40 19 but thats just me. 225 35 19 is almost identical to 245 30 19 and ive had 245 30 20s in the front before, which are almost identical as well and they were wayyy to thin for me. All of that weight sitting up in the front with those tires=nono for me. but a lot of people run thin tires just fine. I drive 35k miles or more per year so having thin tires is too risky for me
NO. Rolling diameter needs to be kept within 3% of stock. There is no reason not to just go 225/40/19 if you want stretch. Reducing the sidewall will only give the illusion of stretch, but the tread width will dictate the stretch. I'd sooner go 215/40/19 than 225/35/19. But 225 is minor stretch on 8.5 that will let you push the lip of the wheel just barely outside the tire. Spacer set-up would be the finicky part after that. You'll get close but if you are trying to push the limit it might include some trial and error.

What look are you going for? Because the sizes you have chosen don't make much sense.
Here are two examples of 225/40/19 front (8.5) and 255/35/19 (9.5) rear (OEM tire sizes) Provides just enough stretch to start tucking tire but still not ricey and will perform well. That is what I would recommend. Anything more and you're getting into the stance game, which is a whole different animal.

Car looks great! I am completely new to this world, and not really looking to get into the stance game per se, But do want to run a fair amount of tuck along with being flush...not HellaFlush... but flush. I think the tires in your pics would be perfect. What tires are they?

Pirelli P-zero in the first pic, Michelin PSS in the second. Some tires are marginally wider than others even given the same spec. Like the Michelin PS4S fits fairly wide compared to other tires of the same spec, so there is a bit of manipulation you can do even shopping different brands.
