2012 W204 C180 7Gtronics - Noise
Appreciate any advise on the following:
Got the Mercedes Year 2012 C180 7G model:
when the engine is warm, there is a grinding noise generated from the left side of the engine. It appears that only when the engine is warm and the pressure inside the engine build-up, the noise start to appear. However, when I pull out the engine oil dip stick slightly, the noise disappeared and when I insert back the noise start appearing again.
Any owner with the same problem/issue or have solve this issue?

Mine is a 2015 C-180. I love it, BUT when I start engine there is a noise that sounds like a kind of diesel engine. Last for 3-5 min and is more evident If in those first 5 minutes I turn on the A/C. When engine warm up, engine runs almost quiet (not completely quiet but a nice hum) Can anybody advise on this regards, please?

C-180 Engine Noisy.
I own the C-180 2015 Mod. When engine starts, there is a noise like the one in a Diesel engine but higher pitch first 3-5 min. Dealer said this is a normal sound but to me, is weird for a MB. I noticed a similar noise in a SMART 2018! same behavior. Can anybody advise on this regards?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Guys,
Just sharing the resolution to the problem with the noise I mentioned earlier.
Sent in to one of the workshop and the diagnosis pointed to ïssue of oil seperator" which was the culprit. Have endured the noise for the last 2 years and I am amazed that the distributor here was not able to solve that either.
Anyway I am glad to know that you guys also love your ride.
Cheers for now.
