Clicking and Windshield Wipers
Always feel like when I solve 2 problems in my car I get something else lol. Just had my C300 in for pano repair, back button, glove box rattle, wood bowing, and getting it tinted.
However now my windshield wipers which they were were a little before are worse now with their skipping/smearing on my windshield and the dealer still can’t find the tick/click noise in my rear passenger area behind driver. 😑

Hate to say this, but the wipers functionality can be a problem. When I got my 2017 C300 coupe, the wipers chattered terribly. I believe this is a known problem . MB, adjusted the wiper windshield angle, changed blades, scrubbed the windshield and eventually replaced the windshield. Nothing helped. Now, almost 2 years later, wipers still chatter terribly...and as far as i know (I did check with MB,) there still is no fix. Good luck.

I’ve found that using an alcohol pad to wipe the rubber part of the wiper helped tramendously with minimizing the “chatter.” Every few weeks to a month, the wipers will shudder and wiping it / cleaning it with the alcohol pads resolves that issue, at least for me

I haven't tried the alcohol thing but what I find that does work is a few squirts of the washer fluid will keep the chatter away for a while when in use.

Do a little research and see if you can find references to the chatter problem. Present that to your dealership and try to have them give you the "full works" of a repair. BTW, I've tried the alcohol, but ddnt find it particularly helpful. Getting a lot of rain here in SoFL and wipers are quite clean, but they chatter after about 20 swipes at the windshield; I'll just have to live with it until the lease is up.

I'm glad you brought this up and the suggestions of an alcohol rub and washer fluid. We only get 15" of rain a year where I live between October to February. However, I experienced this chatter on the few occasions I needed to use the wipers. It was annoying. I had to turn the wipers off, wait until the windshield was coated with rain, and then turn the wipers on again. A bit dangerous and defeats the purpose of automatic wipers. My initial thought was that MB uses a stiff rubber for the blades. I was planning to replace them in October with Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades (#3397009843). Anyone have experience using after market wiper blades?

I think I'm right in saying that the problem is not with the blades, but lies elsewhere...but no one seems to know where. Good luck with the new blades and let us know how it works out.

I've not had the wiper chatter problem and I wonder if it is because I am using RainX. With the amount and intensity of rain we get in SW Florida it is almost a necessity.

I experienced some chatter after I applied some Aquapel. That lasted about 3-4 rainy days and have been fine since. I can see how it could be quite annoying.
