C Class W205 - Runflats / tire pressure leaking /potholes
Anyone had issues with the AMG Alloys C Class W205 - tire pressure leaking I thinks it's down to the rear alloys getting cracks in from the uneven roads/pop holes
I have had one alloy welded it had 3 cracks in after 1 months the cracks came back.same positions
So I think ill have to bite the bullet and fork out for a new one MB charge £525 per alloy!!! you can get them on ebay from £200 2nd hand with scuffs, Properly taking a risk.
Check out the company called santaanawheel. Add www. before the name and .com after the name. Also include the aa in the middle. The city is Santa Ana. I don't know if they will ship internationally. You can use them as a reference point for price. They rate and price their OEM wheels by a letter system. I bought an A-quality 2018 C-class 17 inch OEM wheel for $275. I'm using this as a full size spare. The wheel had a slight mark on the inside edge from removing a tire. The outside was in better condition than one of the brand new wheels on the car. It took some time hunting on the Internet and I finally found them on e-bay. Hopefully you can find a similar store in the UK or on the continent.
Your ultimate solution might be to sell your set of 19" rims and look for a replacement seat of 18" wheels/tires that fit your C300. As you have discovered, C300 - 19" rims are not forgiving of potholes and rough roads !
I think this is one instance where the rim & tyre protection would have come in handy. I thought us down south were the ones with very bad roads.
Sorry to read that up north is like that too. You might have to look into getting after-market rims in 17" or 18" max.
