C250 4MATIC Tyre wear
Hi guys
Ive got a w205 c250 4matic on 19 AMG wheels - currently have conti sport contact 5 boots on. Only 8200 miles on the clock and both down to 2.5mm
need replacing early as about to do a long road trip to Europe.
Any siggestions whether to get pirelli or conti or something else? Will be getting runflats on it again

Hi,
I just replaced my 18" Continental ContiSportContact 5 ROF on AMG rims which had almost 60.000 km. I had a lot of noises from the front tires. They were so hard on every bump on the road. I have a sport package install so lowered suspension and definitely harder than regular one, but small hole, bump etc. my car was jumping. This is my second Conti (before I had regular one installed on Audi A4) and I didn't like them either.
I had a problem which one will be better. My options were: BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S001 and PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 - both ROF and MOE. Opinions were quite the same for both, price +- 10Euro. I had a Bridgestones in past and I had a good experience with them.
Long story short I chose PIRELLI CINTURATO P7. Easy decision - there was a discount in my local shop (in total around 80Euro less than Bridgestone).
And I can say that I have a very positive feeling after I just drove out of shop. A huge difference in terms of loudness - like half quieter (highway you will hear them because the size and ROF but nothing to compare). Much softer - now there is no bump and jump on small holes on the road (compared on the same way I am driving everyday). And my steering wheel is also lighter during maneuvering on the parking.
So I am recommending PIRELLI CINTURATO P7.
