In-cabin particle filter & dust filter replacement price
hello!
I have a 2015 C300 4matic and I have been noticing a really bad odor when I turn on my AC. I took it to the dealership for some other reason but briefly brought up the smell issue as well. They sprayed something in for me and told me it would go away if I always keep the ac on. But it’s been a while and the smell is still there. So I emailed the dealership and they told me they can do an in-cabin particle filter & dust filter replacement for me but it is going to cost $250 + tax. I have no knowledge of how to replace it myself or the reasonable price range. So I would really appreciate it if someone can tell me if that’s reasonable, if not, where should I go get it done? (I’m in the greater seattle area) Thank you!!!

uh... yeah i would definitely do that myself. Even if you buy the filters at the dealer, they are only 100 bucks. The dust filter is under the hood on the passenger side right below the windshield and the cabin air filter is on the passenger side by the floor.

Even if you change out these filters the AC still may smell. It’s an issue that has been mentioned by owners. I would change them anyway and try something like the Meguirs air freshener. Links below.
