C220 Bluetec Sport Premium - Mystery Overhead Lights
Once again, I find myself turning to the community for an answer to a question I can't discover in the manual.
By chance, I discovered that there are two small overhead red lights (near the sunroof switches) that stay on all the time (although I assume they go out when I turn off the engine and lock the car). They're much smaller and far less intrusive than the picture suggests. In fact, they're not visible from the driver's seat. I'm wondering whether this is high-end nanny engineering so that the lights will help if the car breaks down in a dark tunnel. Seriously. Other features have put me in that mindset.
Can anyone tell me what's the purpose of the lights?
