W205 Transmission issues

UPDATE: I would NOT settle for the 5 quart service and go along your way. Bad enough your leaving 4 quarts in that are old but having 5 plus new quarts, a new filter and the correct level will make a HUGE difference in how the car shifts and possibly the longevity I would venture to guess. So THERE Is HOPE.

For what it is worth to folks... I had the valve body replaced on my transmission for very rough 3 - 4 upshift on occasion (it shifts like crap all the time, but that's the one the dealer could replicate). They replaced it, it seemed buttery smooth for a few months. It's back to the way it was before and in fact shifts poorer than when I first got it. I feel like it has more to do with the stupid crap the adaptation and related software is doing to try to "smooth" the experience. It is likely not a "hardware" issue when it can't be replicated every single time under the same conditions. This is my second C class with a poor shifting transmission and it's gonna be my last when the lease is up.

How do you check the fluid level in the transmission? How much did you use to fill it up?
Also, did you have the long 1st and short 2nd gear issue? If so, did the fluid top-up fix this issue as well? You can see what I'm talking about here:

Yes, bad software. MB updated their transmission software mid 2016. All their 7G transmissions built after that have the same bad shifting pattern. Of course they won't admit it, but we know it's crap.
I ended up buying a new MB with the 9G transmission. The 9G is flawless.

Thank you for your response. My problem is especially in Sport+ mode, during the 1st -> 2nd -> 3rd gear changes, car basically is jerking strongly. You can feel it when these gear changes happen. in Comfort mode, this happens but not so strongly. After your MB 7G tronic software update, issue is resolved? Thanks
I've heard of some people being happy after the software update.

My cars has the 7G Sport or whatever they call in the AMG variants.
It shift poorly once the transmission warmed up. It would shift from 2-3 harshly and not refine for MB. They took me for a ride because after 1 month of back and forth, they wanted me to see on the laptop what the transmission was doing. The transmission would jerk from 2-3 one it got warm and on the laptop, it would blink green for OK. The rep ended up sending this data to AMG and AMG responded that I may have a faulty Clutch Sensor, so they changed it. It was night an day, you can still feel the transmission shift from 2-3 but it's not harsh but you will noticed it if you pay attention and other times, you will not notice it. My car is 2016, had the transmission service at 100K when thought it stated 120K.
No transmission related issues now but my light second light is now not working.
