All I want is for the transmission to shift around the same RPM in ALL gears (just like the 9G and all other brands do) when my acceleration is pretty much the same in all gears. But instead it shifts at ~3.500 in 1st, then 2.000 in 2nd and at ~2.300 in all other gears. It totally doesn't make sense. Oh, and the harder I accelerate in 2nd the sooner it shifts into 3rd (at low RPM). How does that make sense?

Haha I feel your pain. Like I said though, it's just the programming and it just doesn't suit your needs. There's no fix, unfortunately. You'd need to get different car or stick to manual mode.

That's what I thought. I just can't fathom how German engineers were able and willing to release such GARBAGE!

I just keep discovering the wonders of this transmission.

Here's one I found yesterday: in manual mode it won't let you downshift from 2nd to 1st between 0-10 km/h (0-6 mph).
You can downshift to 1st anywhere above that speed. WHY?

Experiencing a 9G loaner while my car gets scheduled maintenance. Very impressed so far. In S+, reduced lag from zero vs. my 7G with accurate, intelligent shifting. Planning a bit more evaluation tomorrow.
