Android Auto - Galaxy S9+ not working

Has anyone else had an issue with their 2019 C300's Android Auto? I have a Galaxy S9+ and the Samsung cord that came with the phone doesn't seem to be functioning with Android Auto on the new C300. Have tried buy new cord, rebooting phone to factory settings, and the dealer says there is nothing they can do...

I had, for a short time, a 2019 C300 Loaner. I have an unlocked S9+ and Android Auto worked with it flawlessly. However, I have noticed that Android Auto is sensitive to the cables. I had a Nissan Rogue rental with Android auto and it would work with one of my cables but not the other.
Also, for Android Auto to work you must plug it in to the USB port next to the cup holders. Did you use that plug?

Finally figured out it's an issue we with my phone. Oops! The port on my phone was damaged apparently...
