C300 Cabriolet
New to the MB World
After more than 20 years of loyal BMW ownership, yesterday we jumped ship and purchased a Polar White 2019 C300 Cabriolet with Nougat interior. We test drove the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series (all cabs) as competitors, and as it's my wife's car, I let her make the decision (with me as technical advisor).
We rated the BMW last, as the hardtop is clunky and does nothing additional for sound (perhaps it is safer with the top up, however), engine response was lacking in the base model, and to us the interior looked dated. Reminded us too much of our previous 5 series, a little rougher ride, but overall still a nice car.
The Audi has the best electronics, rides very well, and looks better in person than in pictures. A little turbo lag, but acceleration is better than the BMW. Very tempting - I was impressed with the vehicle overall, unfortunately the 2019's aren't out yet, so we kind of disqualified it on that basis.
The C300 has the best drivetrain (IMO) and is a great looking car.
I haven't even driven the car yet. Pics to follow; we'll see how our MB ownership experience goes!

Congrats! We made the same choice-l between brands- we felt the interior was unmatched, the exterior is sleek, and the driving provided the experience we were looking for. Welcome and enjoy!
