BRAKE light in instrument cluster - HELP PLEASE

BRAKE light in instrument cluster - HELP PLEASE
Anything you can tell me about the BRAKE light coming on (2015 C300 4matic). This is not related to the parking brake which is electronic and toggles the PARK light.
It's been to the dealership (3 times) and they thought it was the ESP module. But that has tested fine (so says the latest dealer). Now they are saying it's in the body harness? WTF? That's a lot to replace (i.e. $5,000 estimate).
Any thoughts on what we should be looking at? Are there any tech bulletins on this?
I've seen tons of posts related to the parking brake but I am getting crickets from the group on this issue...
