I need some help. I bought a 2nd generation illuminated star. It only comes with +/- wires. I would like to have it on only when I unlock the car and at night. I'm having some hard time finding the right place to wire it, because the LED beams fuse has current even when the car is locked...
I also tried the LED beams wires but they aways have current, even when I turn off the beams.
One of the firewall pass-thru spots is on the drivers side, top right corner behind the brake fluid reservoir. There’s a black rubber cover over a bundle of wires. If you pull the cover loose, you can access the passage. It’s snug but doable. I circled the spot in yellow for you.
