I used the fuse box in the trunk and piggybacked it to the rear cigarette lighter I think. Look for the fuse box map. I initially wanted to use the fuse box by my dash but using the rear fuse box makes it easier to conceal the wires

Tried those. The camera would shut off when the car is in auto stop-start mode

This is a thing I am interested in too. No idea where to wire this thing so I can hide the wires and keep it work properly.

It needs to be wired to the fuses in the trunk. I had to run the cables through the cabin to the back

Did you figure out which fuses to tap into? Where did you run it from the cabin to the trunk?

I have a ThinkwareF800 Pro, and with their hardwire kit utilized 206 and 216 from the dashboard fuse box.

I wired my dash cam into 217, an empty fuse slot, and it works like a champ as long as the ignition is on, even when the car is in auto stop-start mode. Might want to check the following site for a breakdown of the fuse locations and functions.

Did you connect the camera to the car?
