Factory Illuminated Star
So, I traded in my 2018 CLA for a 2019 C300 4Matic Coupe!! Loving it....It is my second CPO (loaner). My question is about the illuminated star that it came with (not a huge fan). Apparently the new emblems light up ONLY when the car/ignition AND headlights are on. And, appear to remain on even when the car is running - displays all the time. So, unlocking or opening the door does NOT turn them on as previous generations of the emblem. Not sure I like it on all the time. Might have it re-wired/disconnected. Thoughts? Am I correct? Thanks!

I have an aftermarket one on mine, but it is hooked up the same way as factory to the fuse box. At first I didn’t like it being on all the time but then I kinda just got used to it especially since the only other option you would probably have is to hook it to the headlights themselves but the fuse box would be wiser
