Ok, they are cheap enough now to do the rear vents. Seller sent me the wrong cable. 64 colors. I need 3 color cable.

I also received the simillar cable for GLC 3 colors. I believe the cable should be 3 wires instead of 4 wires for ambient 3 colors. Unfortunately i have received no response from seller.
Did you confirm that the wires as in your photo is wrong ?

Yes, I've done numerous ambient installs in my car they are all just 3 wires. 4 is an rgb cable. You can test using a 9 volt battery. I believe yellow is ground and others are positive.

My question before I start pulling things about is where exactly dose the main vent controller install.
Is it in the footwell fuse box? Which fuse hole for the 12v do I use? And where dose it plug into the original system Cam plug in?

My car is only 3 color ambient, which only had a control box for the rotating led tweeters. That box plugged into the door controller. #6 port. All led vents came with 3 wires and I just tapped into existing ambient wires for those.

So these are the cables I'm querying. Can the power v12 fuse go in any available hole in the foot well fuse box?
And dose the CAN cable Conect to an existing oem box near the fuse box, where the original led are connected as its unclear from the vendors pictures?

(very noobie electrically wise, but also very much addicted to adding mods to my w205)

It all depends on what cable they sent you.
There are 4 wire ambient RGB lights under the seats (in back underneath) with connectors.
If they sent you plug and play Y cables you can use those and plug the connector into that.
